Error 0x80300024 installing Windows 7

I have a Mac mini server 2010 with dual 500gb hard drives. I am trying to install windows on one of the drives using bootcamp. I receive error 0x80300024. After doing some quick research it looks like this is a know problem installing windows 7 on a machine with more than one hard drive. The solution is straightforward but not easy. Simply disconnect the cables to the other drive, install windows on the target drive, then reconnect the cables. I rather not tear apart the mini just to disconnect the cable to the other drive then have to do the same thing again to reconnect it. Has anyone seen this before and do you have an easier solution? Thanks.
