Download the update, do the backups and whatnot. If you got the 3200 error, simply do a soft reboot to your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Hold the sleep & home keys down for about 5 seconds, and swipe the red switch.

You can immediately turn your device back on, and reattempt your update.

This worked for me. No PC reboot required.

I think it is more of a server side request issue that is failing because the servers are slammed. All I did to fix it was hit update again and it went through the second time.

thats not a soft reset is it? i always thought a soft reset was when you held the two buttons untill the apple appears on the screen.

thanks fot the heads up though, my update is still downloading :mad: lol
