I am running on a brand new MBP 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, with an XP Home Boot Camp partition. All of my old Windows games work just fine on the partition except for one: Wheel of Time (from 1997). I could get this to work on my old Toshiba laptop (and, ironically, none of the other games lol), but when I load the game on the XP partition I get this error message:
History: UWindowsViewport::Exec <-UGameEngine::Init <-InitEngine
This appears after I have to select the appropriate drivers to use, and am given the "compatible" option of "software rendering" from the CD.
Anybody know what it means? I have installed DirectX10 and Quicktime 7.5, but that doesn't seem to help. Could it be the dual-core that is confusing it?
Here are the game's requirements: Pentium II 233, 64MB RAM (wow lol), Windows 9x Compatible Sound Card, 3D Accelerator, with a Windows 9X O/S (but it ran on my old XP alright).
Thanks
