iPod Error: files of this ipod are being used with another application?

I was putting some music on my brothers 5.5 G iPod, and whenever I'd try to eject it, I'd get that error. Does anyone know the cause of this? I pressed crtl-alt-del, and there was a process called iPodService.exe running. Could that have had something to do with it?
