I got the following error on a MacBook listed below in my Sig. I'm using a new Crucial 128GB HD with 20GB of free space

Mountain lion cannot be installed "Disk is damanged and can't be repaired".

Anyone seen this? I have a crappy internet connection please forgive if I don't respond right away.

same problem!

first of all my download took forever! i have no clue as to why. my macbook pro is only a couple of months old and I havent downloaded much. then come to find out it said that my disk was damaged. when I verify disk, it says its damaged again, and says i need to repair disk but it is not letting me select 'repair disk'. might have to take it into apple store. i was told id have to back up everything then reinstall Mountain Lion

To either of you... what disk?

The one you are trying to install to (upgrading?) or trying to create a boot disk (fresh install?)?
