What are you installing? Why are you installing a Macintosh version of whatever "it" is, on your Windows computer? Can you please give more information in your first post next time?

I had the same as you (-1603). I had SP1. It worked fine with me when I installed SP2.

I know you have SP2. If I were you I'd delete your Windows partition, reinstall Windows, and try and install the Macintosh Drivers from a new CD.

I have no idea what is wrong. Apple says in the Bootcamp Beta 1.1.1 Guide that XP may not acknowledge some of the software, but you're just supposed to continue. It stays a long time at "Registring Product" with me too, but it'll come.

don't give the guy a hard time.. it's very obvious what he is installing... and it's obvious that you don't use bootcamp (do you know what bootcamp is?)

he specifically said "mac driver on windows".. so if you have nothing constructive, just sit and watch.

now to OP.. i only encountered that problem when i installed vista.. it's interesting that sp2 has that problem, probably you should, like Josias said, completely remove the partition and reinstall it.. it should be fine (but it wouldn't hurt to check on your sp2 installation disk
