Error: Main script executoin failed! Installer Help!?!

so when trying to download apps from installer i now get a message that says:

Error
Main script execution failed!​

i press the button "ok" and it takes me back to installer. it happened when running 1.1.3 so i thought i would do a clean install to 1.1.4 and then jailbreak to solve the problem. seemed to work for about 2 days, but now it is giving me the error again. does anybody know what the problem is? it worked fine for a long time on 1.1.3 and for the first 2 days on 1.1.4, but now (for no apparent reason) it is giving me this error. why is this? can anybody help me? any help is appreciated. thanks in advance!

p.s. currently running firmware 1.1.4 and used ZiPhone to jailbreak (I dont know if this matters)

Go to your Applications directory and try this command:

chmod +s Installer.app/Installer


While you're at, might as well check the permissions on the Installer.app directory itself too.

well it looks like that command did the trick. Thanks. and the permissions on the Installer.app directory is 0777, with owner mobile. is this what it should be?
