Errors when testing MacPro 3,1 with ASD

Maybe someone could identify these error messages coming from Apple Service Diagnostics? I don't find a real answer to it with Google:

1)
Current (ICBC) - CPU-B core current (test #1) - Sensor Reads Within Operating Range - Check to ensure that sensor reads within operating range. ERROR -- 3 [Sensor reading below low point] -- (1.61) TEST FAILED
2)
Thermal Interface - ProcessorrocessorB (test #4) - TIM Test 75 percent Gardband - Check that CPU heatsink is properly attached, using product spec theta dh + 75 percent guardband. ERROR - -47006 [Processor power error] -- TEST FAILED

The problem my MacPro has is that it sometimes doesn't wake up from sleep, meaning, I click somewhere in the Finder but none of the apps is responding anymore, I only get the beachball of death and can only shut down the Mac with the Power Knob.
My System:
MacPro 3,1 (Early 2008)
Mac Os X 10.8.5

Based on your description, it seemed that your CPU B was either overheating or no temperature detected for whatever reason. Others have also indicated before that video card overheating may also cause the machine not to wake up from sleep and requires a hard shutdown and reboot. If I were you, I'd disassemble the CPU B's heatsink and reapply thermal paste on the CPU before reassembling it back to the spec. Also make sure your MP has no other overheating issues.

I also considered to reapply thermal paste on CPU-B and I also considered to exchange the position of the CPU's (just to check if CPU-A then behaves the same like CPU-B now at the moment); then I would presume that this cpu is broken.

The temperature seems to be ok for, because I run iStat Menus and it gives me similar temperatures of both CPU's. But it gives me very different Amperes for ech CPU; CPU-B has constantly 1,61 Ampere and CPU-A has 5 or 6 Ampere.

And I think the GPU as culprit I can also exclude, because I've the wake-up-problem with both of them.

Do you know if I could use any thermal paste for these XEON-CPUs, e.g. Arctic MX-2 which I normally use?

I think any thermal paste from the Arctic brand should be fine. I don't believe Apple or any other manufacturers ever used any high-end paste on their products. I am curious why there was a big difference of CPU amperes assuming this happened when they were in idle stage, maybe one of them is either defective or not installed properly, something worth checking and switching their position is a good idea.

Neither changing the position of the 2 CPUs nor changing the cpu-heatsinks did not change the errors in Apple Service Diagnostics; the position of the errors stays still the same.

At this point I would say the motherboard faulty somewhere or does anyone have another opinion?
