easy question.. if anyone have tried to use a c0 stepping w5580 or similar cpu in mac pro... please answer fast here is the link!

It's ES... I don't recommend it. Others have tried engineering samples in the Mac Pro and some work, some don't, even with the right stepping.

what you say is strange... there is an post here on mac forum.. where many buy d0 stepping for 2010 mac pro and use them with no prob.. is that possible?

Just be careful as it may NOT work. Do you feel like loosing money if it does not work? Most likely why this is "not recommended".

Sure there's a post here where an engineering sample worked. There's also post here where an engineering sample did not work.

Like I said earlier, some work and some don't.
