I have an OS 10.8.5 eSATA startup volume on a sshd connected with OWC card which requires an efi extension to make drives bootable. When I hold command down during startup I do not get a choice of system volumes, just a black screen or it boots from last boot drive. The drive is visible in preferences and if selected will boot on restart. Any ideas as to what could be wrong, or is this normal?
