Hey, just out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that their escape key is super sensitive? I actually have to barely touch it for it to register input. Has anyone else noticed this?

No, but I've noticed I sometimes have to hit capslock more than once for it to turn on.

Hmm, not having a problem with the caps lock. I did some research about this, apparently the key or keyboard needs to be replaced for this, as it is a hardware error (I tried resetting the PRAM and changing the key repeat settings to no avail). I'm going to take it to the genius real quick and see what they say.

The reason I'm concerned is that the MBA is a bitch to open and repair, and I assume the keyboard is no different. I wonder if they're just going to give me a new one rather than deal with it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

And they immediately replaced it. This is why I pay the "Apple tax" :)

+1

Although I've only had to swap 2 Apple products in the past 5 or 6 years, and I've owned many. This ring very true for me. I watch as my brother's Dell gets sent in, parts replaced, sent back a few weeks later only to have it still have issues. Tech then comes to his house, can't fix on site, sends off again, in total a 3 week old computer ends up being useless for nearly 5 weeks between ship times etc... He asked for a new replacement they refused and said they would fix it.

People can bitch all they want about Apple's prices their customer service is the best I've encountered in a very long time.

This is actually a feature of the apple keyboard. It is meant so you do not hit the capslock by mistake. you have to actually hit the button and hold it for a slight second for it to trigger. Trust me this is 100% normal and was created because of the problems people have when they hit it by accident. Do not freak out, do not call apple, this is normal.. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE GUY THAT REPLIED TO YOU.
