eSIM data stopped working after 16.1 install (release ver from 20221024)

Help requested: my iPhone 11Pro with ESIM, working fine on all versions of iOS15 stopped working after upgrade yesterday to iOS16.1.

CLARIFICATION : voice and SMS appears to be functioning but LTE/3G/... data services no longer working. I'm now relying on Wi-Fi at home and don't have data when leaving my house 😣

Appreciate the suggestion. Have done already with no resolution. To everyone else: yes I already tried turning it off and powering it up again 🤣

I restored my backup and confirned the eSIM data services worked again under iOS 15. If I don't find a solution I'll have to do a clean 16.1 install and painstakingly retweak all settings and reinstall all my apps individually. Ugh 😣

I thought the "Format C:" annual ritual I used to do with Windows 3.0 onwards was a thing of the past 😂
