So I bought my MacBook C2D 2GB RAM in Jan and the iSight has ceased to function. I've tried all the tips from Apple and from searching the forums.

My question is: What is the average time estimate on repairing/replacing iSight for MacBooks?

If you bought it in January, you're still covered under your 1 year warranty, so the repair will be free (unless it's obvious you did something to break it, i.e. case damage on or around the iSight). :)

Thanks. Nonetheless I bought the AppleCare extension. I edited my post to reflect what I am asking. Sorry about that.

Just curious how long it would take to do the repair. Can this specific repair be conducted at an Apple retail store? There is one only 4.1 miles away from work.

It should be shipped out and back overnight. A full week sounds about right. Our MacBooks Pros take about that long.
