I tried searching version tracker, no luck.

Im looking for a small little application that will show me activity of my ethernet port (similar to the network icon in windows) that will sit up in the menu bar.

Anyone know of such an item?

thanks

Those are free...

this one is shareware:

They put monitors in your toolbar for CPU, Netowork, and more. I use one at home that I like.. but I forget the name.. it might be one of the links I gave you ... but Im not sure

Re: Ethernet activity monitor?

I believe what you want is Net Monitor by Guy Meyer. It has a reasonable shareware fee.

It is configurable to be in the menu bar with no icon in the dock.

You guys rock. I tried all of them. I think my favorite is menu meter.

That one even shows CPU temp!

(it also shows that I need more RAM on this iMac!)

I like SPY 3.0 - available at versiontracker.

It can show CPU and/or network activity graphically in the menubar without being obnoxious.

enjoy.
