recently I upgraded from an '11 17" Pro to a top of the line '15 13" Air.

At home I have a wired lan - not wifi - so that means I have to connect the Enet cable via a USB port. I have a USB expansion/Enet adapter all-in-one that works great.

Except - when my Air sleeps and then wakes, the internet connection is lost and I have to unplug and re-plug the SUB expander. Dis/re-connecting the Enet cable to the USB expanders itself doesn't work; the expander with the Enet plugged in needs to be disconnected and reconnected to the computer at the port itself. BUT the drive I have connected to the USB adapter does not disconnect.

Is there any reason why this happens and how I might remedy it?

Thanks!

i've got a USB to ethernet with a USB hub built in (3 USB3, 1 GIG-Ethernet)
this one
it reconnects fine.

what make / model of adapter are you using?

I bought this one...man did I overpay. Every time the computer sleeps, it dumps my connection. PIA let me tell you.

Thank you! I just checked - I had checked Amazon Answers before and nothing - but I see someone says there's a driver update. I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll pick up your suggestion. :)
