Been having problems with beach balls now spinning wheel, I have 24 GB of RAM installed hoping this would fix my issue. Mostly at user login screen. Looked at numerous answers to this problem without any luck. Hope someone can take a look at the EtreCheck report attached and point me in the right direction...thanks in advance for any help

Try this just as a test.... reboot and hold the shift key to boot safe mode. A safe mode boot bypasses all those launch and startup items you have listed there. Does it work okay in safe mode? It if does, that tells you one of those startup or launch items is causing the issue. I would start by removing Virtualbox. Looks like you have some Google drive crash logs there. That would be my nest suspect.

But if safe mode does not fix it, it is not one of the launch or startup items, and the issues lies elsewhere.

Can you think off anything you installed or changed lately that may have prompted this?

Is the beachball just at login, or other times?

Thanks for the info, to be honest it's been going on for a while and well before virtualbox.
Mostly notice it when signing in but it does happen sometimes when opening applications (not any specific ones) or even opening a folder. Thought with all that RAM I should have been good to go.
I'll try the safe mode and see what happens...thanks again

Yeah... get back to me on safe mode, but what you are describing with that bolded part sounds like a dying drive. How do you have those two drives setup? Is it setup as a Fusion drive?

I see two problems, first is you have Avast antivirus installed. AV applications for OS X simply are not necessary and tend to create more problems than they solve. Locate the developers uninstall instructions and uninstall Avast. OS X does not need AV apps for many reasons, first there are no viruses for OS X and second OS X is extremely secure on it's own. If simply kept up-to-date your system should be fine. OS X also does not need any other third party "maintenance" utilities such as cleaning apps, memory clearing, etc...

The other thing I noticed is the Virtual Box app, if you no longer have a need for running Windows, then I would recommend uninstalling VB.

After you have removed both apps, re-run an EtreCheck report and look for any evidence of either app. If you see evidence then assume it is still installed. After both are totally gone, reboot your computer in Safe Mode and then reboot normally and test.

I don't have fusion drive setup, I only have pictures & videos on HD and everything else is on my SSD, I know all that space on HD is going to waste but I still have lots of room on SSD.
Tried safe mode last night but what I've noticed is I'm getting the spinning wheel more when first logging in, if I've already logged in then log out and log back in in a short time frame it seems to be ok. I'll try safe mode on first attemp and see if I have the same issue.
I did have avast installed about a year ago, but I deleted it straight after. Thought I deleted it correctly, found that plist file and deleted it last night.

Then test for the issue you having (spinning beach ball) and see if the issue goes away. If it does then it's a matter of trial and error to determine which peripheral is the problem.

Another easy test is to create new user account (call it TEST ACCOUNT) and log into it and see if the problem persists. If it goes away in the TEST ACCOUNT then you know it's an issue with your normal user account and not a system wide issue. Then you can focus on the normal account until you find the problem which is likely some app you may have installed. You can run Activity Monitor and when the beach balling occurs you can check to see what is running and taking up the system resources causing the beach ball.
