Anyone close to finishing a euchre game for the app store? I see a ton of solitaire games, and a couple of hearts games, but no euchre.

It is on our plans to bring our popular Palm OS Euchre game over, though right now I don't have a good time frame for you.

It would be nice, especially if it had an online component.

Or if Yahoo! made an App to allow you to play their Y!Games system.

I've been playing euchre for years now, and I have been waiting for a euchre game to come to the iphone since the app store was up and running. I hate having to drag my macbook along into the bedroom so I can sneak a couple games of euchre in to help me fall asleep, it would be much easier to use the iPhone.

Ohhh! Online multiplayer!

What a blast that would be! I've not yet found a robot that could play as well as a person!

c'mon, still no euchre game? We need some devs to get to work on this asap.
:D

i have also been searching for an euchre app for the iphone!! come on, someone has to be developing one!!??

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

euchre ftw!

Just wanted to get my vote in, too. Would LOVE a euchre app, especially with online play. Would pay good money for a well-designed game!

Euchre and Other Card Games

Another vote for Euchre! Also, I am hopeful that we will eventually see Bridge and Pinochle as well.

I was thinking more about this game the other day. How would you make it work as a one player game? You'd have a computer player as a partner, which would be weird.

That is how our Palm OS version of Euchre was. You had a computer partner, and played against a computer team. It actually worked out quite well, and you didn't have to wait for someone else to be on-line to play.

We are starting up work on getting Euchre moved over to the iPhone/iPod touch platforms. Of course it will be improved to take advantage of the capabilities of the device.

first, I loved your palm version. But... now that you're working on an internet device, you should really have a multi-player option too. And chatting. I've only seen one game that has chatting so far, and a card game is the perfect type for that.

This is definitely in our plans, but I suspect we won't have multi-player in the first version. Our goal is to get a version of Euchre as-soon-as-possible, then provide extra features (like multi-player) through the free updates.

any timeframe as to when the euchre app will be in the store?

thanks

It's great to see that you are starting this project. Are you planning on adding any variations to the game, since there are slightly different rules, depending on where you are. Keep us posted, I'll be one of the first to purchase this one.

We plan on keeping the same variations that our Palm OS version had, and possibly add more. You will be able to enable/disable the following variations:
Screw the Dealer, Ace-No-Face, Farmers Hand, Dirty Clubs, No First Blood, No Trump Call.
