Europe to 120 Canada power

My girlfriend is travelling to Europe soon. I am trying to sort out the power adapters. She will need a 220 to 110 converter, as she will be using things other than phones. (I checked the devices don't support 220)

Would this adapter do the trick?

I wouldn't buy that device unless I was willing to risk ruining anything I plugged into it.

What exactly needs to be powered?

So far my guess is an iPhone(which supports 220v with just a plug adapter). The only other thing is a hair straightener.
