After previously using wemo smart plugs and having to constantly hard reset them, I switched to the EVE smart plugs and they worked great. I didn't have any problems. I have 3 Apple TVs in the house so the matter network is pretty robust. I have heard that this an IOS 18 issue that makes the go no response in HomeKit and the eve app. They are still responsive in matter enabled Home Assistant further thinking what I saw on the eve reddit page is true. I also saw several comments on the apple forums.

What had me worried was I recently upgraded my internet from 1Gig Lumen-Century Link to 2Gig Lumen-Quantum. After retiring my Netgear Orbi wifi 5 and dealing with the supplied wifi base router and extender from Quantum and their horrible tech support, I went out and picked up the Orbi wifi 7 mesh kit.

Another odd thing that happened was as I ride Peloton everyday and sync my Apple Watch the Peloton started not to get the same calorie count as the watch did on the onscreen display when I got rid of the wifi 5 and continued with the orbi wifi 7 until an iOS 18 update a few weeks ago. there was also a momentary fix to the eve smart plugs on HomeKit only to have them switch between working and no response. currently they are no response but there were working 48 hours ago.

anyone have a fix?

Thread and Matter strikes again.

Folks get your HA stuff off of wifi and bluetooth if you arent a network engineer (i know that sounds ridiculous).

Wired hubitat or homebridge + zwave/zigbee is the answer

I have a handful of older Eve Energy that I never updated the firmware to Matter. They always work and I didn't want to do anything to mess that up.Two HomePod mini's, two ATV's and a Xfinity WiFi router.
