Considering giving it a go and wondered if anyone had tried both clients and if one is much better than the other ?

I'll likely keep bootcamp on for a couple games and should be using 3870's in Xfire for Windows and one for OS X

I prefer OS X overall for things like WoW because I can run it window'd very well with lots of other apps and the multitasking just seems smoother overall in OS X than Vista 64 currently

Is the EVE OS X client ok or would the windows one be considerably better ?

Unfortunately, the Windows client is considerably better.
Mac client feels quite sluggish. What's more, it pretty much brings the entire machine "down to its knees". If you command-tab from EVE, and try to do anything else (like, say, read forums), you will see that your computer is almost unresponsive.
Sound does not work with my external USB sound card.
And there is no support for premium graphics.
I still use the Mac client exclusively (I can't be bothered to reboot into Windows), but it thoroughly sucks.

EVE runs nowhere near as good as WoW on OSX. If you want to play EVE on OSX, forget about multitasking, it'll get unplayable. The windows client runs 2 trillion times better than the OSX client. Rebooting for a game is annoying but for EVE, you really don't have a choice if you ask me.
