I was getting spam calls, used the app BEGONE, but that didn't help. Then I decided to only receive from people already in my contacts. The problem is that iOS still tells me which numbers tried to call me, in the last (RECENT) logs. How do I also change that setting, so those never appear there?

You can't. You also can't block voicemails from those numbers. You might try to use some of the number blocking features your cellular provider offers.. Verizon allows you to block numbers from getting to your phone, I'm sure other providers do the same

The fact you can successfully block any unknown number to call you, but are forced to see those numbers in the history of numbers interacted (the ones you called or rang you) just shows how idiotic Apple is. So if 100 spammers call me every single day, do I need to keep cleaning that area of the phone? That doesn't make any sense.

I don't want any history of last numbers called. Or at least no logs of those blocked.

I'm with you. I've never had to block a person from calling me that I no longer want to converse with only spam or unknown numbers. They stop calling after a couple times and the number usually changes to a different number with the same prefix. Unfortunately I've ended up having a long list of blocked numbers using this technique.
