All different brands, all digital, sub-compacts, DSLRs, and then find the best for a given need? Then you wouldn't have to rely on reviews? And....

D300, G9, iPhone. That's enough for me. I have enough trouble remembering all of the features on the D300.

I've got 4 and that's more than enough for me, only two of the SLR's (K10D and PZ-20) even get any use anymore. The P&S's haven't had more than a few frames put through them in years and the Old Nikon just isn't cutting it anymore.

I'd tend to take the route someone else mentioned, a camera or two that can share lenses and as many lenses as I could got my hands on!

I nearly have that setup, though I wouldn't want a cropped dslr and a full frame dslr.

I have:

1. Fuji F10 (PnS)
2. Canon 5D
3. Mamiya 645 Super
4. Holga (backup medium format)

Yeah, the cropped frame wouldn't be necessary, just nice for action sports and things where you need extra "zoom", and faster speed...a la 1D line of canon cameras.

What kind of digital backs do you have?

Used to think that way about most stuff, but got minimalistic. I have made many trips to Goodwill and the county dump/recycle center. Next, Craig's list or ebay for my gadgets, speakers, stuff like that.

The medium format camera is film. I don't think digital medium format cameras are practical outside the studio yet.
Just out of interest, why do you have a Canon 10D?

The 10D was my original backup when I got my 1Ds. I never used it much. Now I only really use my 2-5D's (my 1ds started getting some dead pixels). I use one for wide angle and one for zoom. It's really nice not changing lenses and having two matching cameras for jobs.

I would just like one. And then a variety of lenses. However, I think it would be awesome if I could just get a brand new camera for free whenever something goes wrong with the one I have. Like all I have to do is send a letter to the company and then they will deliver it to me via a peregrine falcon because that would just make it even cooler.
