Yes it was. When it was initially made available. Evernote is great! Hopefully they keep adding features to its word processing capability.

I swear I usually try not to take the cheap and easy shots, but even your first blog link is four days old. 
I've been playing with Evernote during that time (on iPad, Desktop and iPhone) and trying to understand the concept, but so far the learning curve is a little weird. I can see how it might be very cool once it 'clicks' for you, although I'm already running out of my free monthly usage.

Anyway, I didn't really like evernote for the ipod, I guess I'll have to play around with the iPad version whenever I get one.

About Evernote, I rely on it daily. I can't wait to use it on the iPad. I assume note-taking occurs in the same way, syncing and all, right?

Yes, in my tests it's syncing across all three of my logins seemingly without my intervention. It doesn't have the phone/voice inputs of the iPhone (naturally) but you can move them around from the iPad once they are there.

I think so. If not day 1 then shortly thereafter. I've installed but ignored it until I decide what to do about the limitations that trigger you to need a subscription to use the service. I don't want to put any real data into a service until I fully understand the cost to me to use it the way I would tend to use it.

I also rely on it on a daily basis. It is one of my most used apps.

I really like Evernote as well, and use it extensively on my Mac and PC. I was excited to see Evernote coming to the iPad, but honestly, I'm quite disappointed in it. I mostly use evernote to take notes... in class, in meetings at work, and just general life related stuff. Unfortunately, the text input features on the iPad edition are stripped down considerably. No bullets or numbers, no indentations, no formatting of any kind. This is kind of a big deal for me.
In general, I highly recommend Evernote, but I do hope they bring the feature set of the iPad version in line with the desktop counterparts.

Just a FYI about evernote.
Evernote for iPad or iPhones currently does not support RTF notes, so this means any formatting from the desktop cannot be edited on either the iPhone or iPad.
This is a huge annoyance and almost a show stopper for me.
If there were a way to enter notes only in plain text on the desktop, everything would be ok.

There's youtube video tutorials linked to their site that can explain this a little further. But the real power/beauty of it is the ability to webclip/screen capture images from the internet or import images from your camera, etc. It's sort of a nice way to catalogue things for later reference for projects, shopping lists, or whatever. We use it as a digital scrapbook of sorts. It's quite useful. The free version limits you to a certain upload threshold per month (which we've yet to exceed) as well as a few other limitations.
Here's one practical example/use of how my wife and I share/use Evernote. In our house on the side of our fridge in the kitchen held up by a magnet we had a paper wish-list for each other. The wish-list had things we liked/wanted throughout the course of the year as a birthday, xmas, anniversary, or just-because gift or present from the other person without having to guess or dread what to get the other person for those occasions. We've moved that wish-list (now with web-clipped images and side notes to Evernote). Since the application syncs across all platforms and devices running the application - you're always current. So for my wife's next birthday when I'm out shopping, I can pull up Evernote on the iPhone or iPad, go to her wishlist and pick one or more of the items she specifically wants as her gift(s).
