Do you clear your Safari cookies regularly or do you use an application that does that for you, like Cookies or Cookie Stumbler?

I clear semi-regularly. Is that the issue, not clearing? or clearing?

Ever since about 2 versions ago when I open iTunes it makes me log into my account 2-3x. I should never have to log in on my main mac, it should stay logged in. Either way it shouldn't happen 2-3x in succession. Anyone else get this?

seems like this type of deal:

Same here but even if I clear some cookies I don't clean iTunes or log out. I sent a bug report but unknown if I'm doing something wrong.

Yep. I have Safari delete my browsing data automatically when closed and then I have to sign into iTunes 3 separate times. It's incredibly annoying.

I don't think that it has anything to do with clearing the Safari cookies. I just opened Safari 8, went under Privacy->Remove All Website Data... and proceeded to "Remove All Website Data". When I launched iTunes 12 it showed me as still logged in.

When the issue happens for you do you see "Sign In" next to the "Search Library" or do you see your account name being displayed?

Try a test. Don't have Safari delete your cookies and see if the problem still happens.

Still happening. 3 times every time. I'm almost thinking of uninstalling iTunes and installing from scratch. But I'm worried about losing my library/settings.

For me the issue happened with the application Cookies. It removed the cookies connected with *.apple.com (itunes.apple.com among others) which prompted iTunes to forget my credentials. Perhaps Safari is smart enough not to touch the iTunes cookies.

Can you try the following: create a new user account and try to reproduce the problem there? Perhaps something is preventing iTunes from setting the cookie. A permissions error of some sort.
