Hi, I have a problem with people hearing me over the phone, even when I am talking directly into the mic, and I am getting frustrated. It seems like this is a good, fun gadget, but as far as it being used as phone, I don't give it high ratings. I was thinking about parting with my iPhone :( because no one can hardly ever hear me unless others are having the same problem, and I can get this thing replaced. I HOPE it's just my phone because I hate to leave the iPhone in the dust. Also, since people already have a hard time hearing me, it's almost impossible to use the speakerphone. Anyone else have this problem? What should I do? Help?

well sadly the phone part is a part on this phone trying speaking to the mic from a distance thats how everybody hears me or try calling your home phone with your friend and see how really the phone works, maybe it was your signal or idk if you can truly prove that its the mic then go to the apple store and replace.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

I have an issue with an echo when using speaker phone. When the person on the other end of the line speaks, they hear an echo. I haven't had any problems with people hearing me. My guess is that you have a faulty mic. I'd be contacting Apple about a replacement.

Well, I called AppleCare, and the rep also had a hard time hearing me, haha. It took us some time before we could finally finish our call; he made an appointment for me to go to the nearest Apple store, but silly me, I forgot everyone is rushing towards the mall right now to do some last minute shopping, so I was there for quite some time. Once a genius rep came to help me, he was adamant there's nothing wrong with my phone and that he could hear me just fine when we did a test call. A lil' frustrating. In the end, the rep from Apple Care made some notes, which finally made convinced him to give me a refurbished replacement, and I am pleased to say, I hear a big difference between the two! Yay! :D
