We have an Air on 10.10 that can print to a Xerox, HP and Konica. However all three are only printing B/W. Tried changing the color matching, tried toggling the "Print black and white" check box. No change. The preview of the page to be printing shows B/W, so I feel like it's the computer. Everyone else can print color to these printers.

Anyone seen this? Is there a global option to only print B/W?

Maybe update the drivers for the printers on the Mac?

Some drivers where not ready to be included in Yosemite initial release.

So, first, do a software update to see if any print drivers are there. If, not, download from appropriate manufacturer's support pages.

I reinstalled the driver for the Konica. It's made for 10.10. No change. The same driver for the same printer is installed on others running 10.10 and there are no color issues for anyone else. Just for this one computer, and it's all her printers.

Dumb question:

Will the object(s) to be print print correctly on the other machines? For example, can see, say a word processor document, has set "print black/white" set within the document itself. Or maybe some other similar issue.

I tried printing a website from safari and an email from Outlook. Printing from both those applications from other computers come out in color. There is a check box to print in B/W, whether it's checked or not it comes out in B/W.
