Everything working great on iPhone 6 (8.1) except for 2 apps! Help!

After A LOT of hours setting up my iPhone and issues with syncing, wifi, email and other things, I finally have it where I want.

However, I'm having issues with the StubHub and Paypal app. I know these questions are more specific to those apps, but I seem to be having similar issues with both. I understand it might be hard to diagnose my issue but I figured I give it a shot. It seems to be an issue with Location Services.

StubHub: Recognizes my location but does not populate any events for it.
Paypal: Again, recognizes my location but does not populate the in-store coupons that should be showing up for certain merchants.

I did a "Erase All Content and Settings" and redownloaded the apps and they worked, the problem is, I don't want to go in and have to build my phone back up from scratch. So after I saw that it worked I went and restored from a backup and am now having the same issues.

Updated PayPal app yesterday. You got that version?

Have you tried...

(1) deleting the stubhub and paypal apps from your phone, hard rebooting the phone, then re-downloading the apps?

or (2) contacting the developers and asking their help?

Both are shots in the dark but easier than setting up your phone as new.

Though there's something to be said for doing that in terms of knowing any issues aren't due to leftover crapola. I'd restored from backup for a couple phone generations (4S and 5S) so bit the bullet on my 6 and setup as new.

Yes, I have done both 1 and 2, no luck. I haven't done 1 in the order you described so I'll try that but other than that I'm running out of ideas on what to do.

Also, for the first response, I did not see an update for Paypal yesterday, I am using version v5.8(269)
