I have this issue, can't figure out why.

Every time I open the Files app, it always defaults to opening a particular file. This file in question is sensitive, and I do not understand why the phone always defaults to doing this.

I have tried opening other files such as PDFs in the Files app, and then closing the app and then reopening but it still defaults to this one particular file.

How to fix?

Have you tried moving or deleting said file and see what happens?

Hi, I've noticed in the files app, when I try to move a file it always defaults to moving the file to a particular folder (let's call this folder "recipes" in iCloud). If I am in a completely different directory, say "Pages" folder within iCloud, I go into that folder, select a file to move, the default move location is "recipes". Going into another folder and moving a file will always result in the move to location always being "recipes" folder.

I moved all the files in "recipes" to "cooking" folder, and "cooking" now becomes the default location to move files to.

The problem seemed to follow that set of files that were in "recipes" so I deleted them (sent to trash), now the last folder they were in is the default.

This is quite annoying, as if I want to move any file I have to navigate out of this arbitrary default "move to" location.
