Hi guys i am looking to replace my gt 120 in mac pro 4.1 i am looking for best for the buck and it has to have cuda since i would like to run davinchi resolve my question is will EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti FPB ( 1024MB GDDR5 run on my mac with osx 10.8.1 and do i need extra power cable i all ready have 5770 pc version with extra power cable.

thanks

Yes it will work if you use the Nvidia Mac drivers. You will lose the boot screens (or you could just leave the 120 in when you need boot screens). And yes the power cable you have for the 5770 is the one you need. The 550ti should only need one so you should be good to go.

cable

with extra cable can i leave my 5770 in with new gtx or that would be to much for power supply but i also have gt120 which does not need power supply since i want resolve to have full access to the card and run my monitors on another card?

thanks
