Ok, so my MB purchased in April 2007 started turning black on the palm rests. So one day, i moved my palm back and forth without noticing, and felt something. Looks down, and saw this brown/black stuff coming out! I rubbed my fingers on the noticably darker spots and they turned lighter, and i saw some more brown stuff! It was pretty weird, having dust just pop out of my macbook. I wish i had a MBP, have any of you experienced this problem?

Where can i get one of the Magic Erasers or anything that cleans out the darkness in my palm rests?

I think any convenience store, or any store that carries cleaning supplied will sell the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. Those should do the trick!

Yup, from grocery stores to Target, that's where I've seen/ bought Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.

Hate to say it though... even w/ iKlear and Magic Erasers, my white MB's palm rests are still cruddy. It's a serious bummer. I cringe when I look at my MB and I just know that if anyone else looks at it, they're likely thinking I'm a horrifically dirty person.

Discoloration is covered by AppleCare. Just take it to your local genius bar.

My MacBook's keyboard, palm rest area, and trackpad were turning slightly blue (very strange) when I took it in for a battery replacement, and the genius offered to replace the keyboard & cover before I even thought to mention it.

I've had this new keyboard/palm rest/trackpad for several months now, and it's still a pearly white! :)

This is kind of sick, but have you ever scratched your neck or something while in the shower or rubbed it, or done that with any other place like your leg and have that stuff come out? It looks like that, only smaller and a little more brown.

Well if the same stuff is coming from your legs and neck… or something (!) then I would hazard a guess it isn't coming from your MacBook… :D

The palm-rests of Macbooks are way too porous. Mine got pretty bad looking in a short period of time, and I babied the thing.

I hope Apple chooses a different kind if plastic for the next go 'round.

it's similar but not it, because if you rub the case it will come out. Only on the innards though.

sounds like dirt from your hands. If you put a drop of water on your hands and rub them together you can sometimes get that stuff off them. You could always try warpping your MB in plastic wrap and never touching or as i read somewhere else put in a glass display in a museum. At the end of the day it's a white laptop and if you use it for what it is intended then this will happen. Do you complain and return your shoes if you scuff them? Apple shouldn't have to cover this unless it's turning blue or something like that.
