I am working in Excel 365 for Mac.
I have created a table with a number of columns where the leftmost column is a date field.
When I attempt to add a new ROW the following occurs:
1. If the first data element entered in the new row is the date field then Excel "turns" the new row into the table's Total Row; BUT
2. If the first data element entered in the new row is any column / field other than the date field then Excel behaves properly and adds the new row, including the date field so long as the date field is the second or subsequent data element entered into the new row.
The asks:
How / why is this happening and how do I stop this from happening?
Thanks.
