I just upgraded to el capitan, got new MS excel and word/office 365. Excel is SO SO slow; constant spinning ball. is there anything i can do to speed it up?

It forced me to use Numbers today and the column with images won't sort. the other columns move, but the images don't so the images don't fit w/the columns.

Any ideas?

For what its worth, Excel 15.24 is pretty snappy here - no beachballing on El Capitan.
I know it sounds daft but suggest rebooting into Safe-mode then restart normally. That'll clear out any odd cache files that may be affecting you post-upgrade.

15.24 is the first build I'm happy with. No issues with beachballs. alainr what build are you on?

On an unrelated note, Word stopped randomly quitting for me as well with this update.
