So my iPhone 5 kept popping up a prompt saying that my connection to iCloud got disconnected and that I needed to re-enter in my password again to re-connect to iCloud. It kept rejecting my password on my iPhone, but when I tried to enter that exact same password on a desktop computer, the password was correct. Fearing that my data was no longer syncing to the iCloud, I decided to back up my notes and reminders by toggling 'on' reminders and notes in my already-connected exchange account. BAD IDEA! All my iCloud reminders and notes were overwritten and completely disappeared. Weird, right? So I toggled reminders and notes off in my exchange account, thinking this would restore my original reminders and notes. But of course, it did not. Are my notes and reminders truly gone now? Any ideas on how to get them back? Since they were never really saved locally on my phone, am I totally screwed?

It shouldn't overwrite them - the icloud and Exchange Notes and Reminders accounts should be separate. When in the notes app, you should be able to select the account you're viewing by tapping Accounts in the top left corner - if you then select iCloud you should be able to see all your previous notes. Same works for Reminders IIRC.
