Hi, everyone! I'm new to this forum and hoping someone might know if this will work.

I won an 80GB iPod Classic and a $50 iTunes GC in a contest, but I already have an iPod and won't use the iTunes GC. I'm saving for a Macbook, but can't afford to pay the difference yet.

I have no idea where the iPod came from, but it's still shrink-wrapped, and of course the iTunes GC hasn't been scratched off revealing the code.

My question is: Without a receipt, will an Apple store give me an Apple GC worth the value of the iPod & iTunes GC?

Thank you!

Call or stop by the store and see what they say.

I won a nano a while back in a raffle, but already owned an iPod. I went to an Apple Store and was able to exchange the shrink wrapped nano and pick up OS X Tiger and iLife, then pay the difference.
