hey folks, wanted to see if there happened to be anyone who recently exchanged an iphone SE at the genius bar and what OS did you get? My phone is behaving erratically sometimes and I'm considering running to the genius bar for an exchange but I am also terrified of getting a new phone with iOS 11 on it. I've played with an SE running 11 and the phone seems to barely keep up while on iOS 10 the phone runs perfectly. Thanks in advance!

I run iOS 11 on my iPhone Se with no issues. Runs just fine, snappy as ever.
11.2.1 to be exact.

There’s nothing to be terrified of. You will get iOS 11, almost certainly, and it’ll work fine. I’d actually recommend you make sure to update it to the latest point release.

You are +95% likely to get a version of iOS 11. It runs fine on my 7. Something is no longer right with my wife's 6, and it's not her battery/"throttlegate." I think it's probably the 1GB of RAM combined with iOS 11. SE has 2GB, so I would guess you'll be fine.

I had a lot of app crashing and sluggish performance. replaced battery is like a new phone. 6 Plus

It'll be the latest OS, 11.2.1. However, nothing to worry as you'll be getting a brand new battery hence no performance drop.

That's good to hear. It's on the list, since it's essentially free ($30 really gets into the cup of coffee zone that you mentioned in another post).
