So on Friday I received my long awaited iPad 3G like everyone else, and of course absolutely love it. I've been using it non-stop since Friday. However, tonight while using it I noticed a little red dot about the size of a period (.) right above the corner of my YouTube app. After wiping the screen for a few seconds I realized this wasn't ON the screen. So yeah- I have a stuck pixel. After about an hour, this stuck pixel went away, and I was of course relieved. But it came back, and went away, and came back. After the fourth time of it reappearing it started blinking from white to red, back to white then red again. And then it went again, and came back. I'm sure you get the picture.

Also tonight I started having a wifi related issue. Every few minutes or so, the little wifi icon disappears for 3-5 seconds and then comes back. This really isntnbothering me too much as it has yet to effect my Internet connection.

So here comes the questions. Even after 8+ years of owning apple products, I've never had to exchange or return one, so I do not know anything about their policies on this. 1. Can I exchange an apple product I purchased online in a store? Even after only two days, I can't imagine not having my iPad for more than a few hours, it would kill me to return this to apple and then have them ship me a new one, so I figure taking it to a store would solve that. 2. Do apple storest a need to replicate the issues? Obviously, I'm thrilled with my purchase, so I don't wanna return this or get a different version- I want the same one. But as I said both my issues come and go, and my nearest apple store is two hours away so I really don't wanna go down to it and them not be able to duplicate the problem and then have them call me a liar. They can check the iPad for damage or something all they want, mines in perfect condition. I just don't want this stuck pixel to become permanent or dead and I don't want the wifi issue to become a future problem. I'm within my 14 day window, and I would like to take care of this right away.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can return it to the store. I just did exactly that.

The geniuses will try to replicate the issue (in my experience) but if you're insistent, it will be alright. I've never heard of Apple not offering an exchange for a valid reason.

Also mention that it's a 2 hour trek... one you would not have made if there wasn't and issue. However, I think they are being extra lenient w/ iPad issue b/c they don't want any bad pub. during the launch window.

Thanks guys! I'm going to call the store a little later and talk to them, see if they'll set me up with a genius, and even possibly guarantee they'll reserve one for me when they have the stock so I don't drive there for them not to have a new one.

I really just needed to calm my nerves last night so I could sleep since they were closed...when I buy a new product, I expect it to be in amazing condition, all the time!
