I have a really nice 3TB 2.5" external drive that I use between my Linux boxes, my work MP, and my daughters Windows PC, and supposedly my 10.11 iMac. The drive works fine on everything but the iMac. I tried google and it sorta told me to input defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility advanced-image-options 1 into the terminal and I did and it still doesn't work. Does anyone else have issues with an exfat external in El Cap?

Did you use Windows to format the drive?
