Hello,

I'm using shoebox and this "great" software is using the "date-modified" EXIF field of the photos instead of the "date-taken". I had a lot of wrong dates, and looking at one photo using photoinfo, I found that the date used by shoebox was the one of the field "File date and time", which I suppose stands for the "date-modified" EXIF field.

Does anybody know of a method to batch replace the date-modified field with the value of the date-taken field?

Thanks a lot,

Not bad, it works, without having to build anything around it:
jhead -ta-0:00:01 *.jpg

it reset all dates to the date-taken time (minus 1 second).

But if anybody knows of a GUI thing to reset *all* the exif dates field of many photos at a time, it would be great. Thanks anyway for this hint!
