Existing o2 work sim card

Is there a method of 'introducing' my existing o2 sim card to a new 3g iPhone?If poss, what features would I lose? Thanks.

3G and visual voice mail.. I think

Wow, the loss of 3g is a major prob then....no point in doing it

Visual voice mail, yes, but I don't think you'll lose 3G. Provided the current SIM has a data service then that should be OK. That's my understanding.

Are you in a position to try it and find out?

Access to O2's wifi hotspots is the other thing that needs to be separately purchased if you are not on an iPhone contract.
