I searched around about how to exit Safe Mode and followed the steps but nothing seems to help me here.

I downloaded a lock screen tweak from Cydia and it went into Safe Mode when I tried to run it. I'll get the Safe Mode popup message and hit restart but it takes me back to a non-jail broken home screen so I can't access Cydia to uninstall the application.

I've tried doing a hard reset (power + home button) but it still boots back up into safe mode. Since Cydia, nor any of my other jailbreak stuff, shows up.. what options do I have? I can restore since my stuff is backed up to iCloud and iTunes, but I don't want to upgrade the firmware so I lose the ability to jailbreak.

If someone can give me a step in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'd prefer to not restore but if need be, I will. BTW, I'm on a T-Mobile iPhone 5 running 6.1.2.

Thanks.

Why won't Cydia work? It should work in safe mode. That's one of the main reasons Saurik created safe mode.

when you are in safe mode, open cydia and uninstall the lock screen tweak. you are still able to access cydia to uninstall stuff when in safe mode

Edit: Sorry.. moved all of my stuff to the 4th window! Bah, I'm sorry. Just had my wisdom teeth yanked (pain killers are not allowing me to think clearly) and didn't see it moved my folder with my jailbreak stuff to the 4th panel.

I should have scrolled further right! Sorry again guys.

No worries.

At least you have the facility now through Cydia to help resolve the safe mode issue.

I recently had a safe mode problem when i installed the latest elite 6 theme update.

Thanks be that i could enter winter board and uncheck the theme and uninstall it to restart and then reinstall the updated theme.

Just to add i don't believe it was the theme update but just a glitch !

Okay exiting safe mode could not be made easier with SBSettings installed.

Swiping your finger across the top of the screen loads a special SBSettings menu containing a button that says "Respring" ... Pressing this will button will reboot springboard into regular mode. If springboard crashes into Safe Mode again and again, then it means you probably installed an incompatible tweak. Use Cydia via Safe Mode to install each of your last changes and respring after each one, until you've found the one causing the issue.
