I ordered a 16gb WiFi & Apple case for my parents earlier this afternoon. The expected delivery date is 2nd August.

Question is: If I remove the case from the order will the iPad be delivered in the 7-10 working days as per Apple's website? I know this was the case with early iPad orders, I just want to make sure prior to cancelling the case.

TIA

I'm right in-between two store, 30/40 miles in each direction.

I spoke to one of those store earlier today and placed our name on the reservation list. It's no big deal waiting, it's just that 2nd August is way out of the expected 7-10 days

Order cancelled it was the case delaying it. Apple iPad case (3-4 weeks) !!

Hmm I see. Well, I would order them separately. Or maybe hold off on the case until later. Apple might decide to wait until they have both in stock to save on shipping costs (mail one box instead of two). I would order them from separate places (iPad from Apple, case from Amazon maybe?). But then again, I'm kind of impatient and you might be more patient than me.

I've just put the order through again, this time just for the iPad ... order confirmed 7-10 days :D

thanks for the advice

There are nicer cases than the Apple one available for less money. I like this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003K0E6BG Amazon had it to my door in two days.
