Hi,

My iphone 15 pro from last september was showing 100% battery health and about 270 cycles up intil mid august, when it dropped to 99%. But within two weeks it dropped to 98%. Is it normal that the decrease in battery helath increases when it starts dropping from 100%. Nothing has changed re use and charging since it went from 100% to 99% and always running the latest ios update.

Just curious since I had a similar experience with my 14 Pro which had 100% for 6 months and then fell to 99, 98, 97, 96 with only a month between each drop.

thanks,
Iau

Thanks for all replies. I was mostly worried about why the time span between 99% and 98% was so short but I'll see what it says in month or two. ;-)

I have noticed that using slower wired charger and limiting to 80% has resulted in 99% battery health after 1 year.
Now the new iOS allows 90% charge, I have increased it to 90% but still not using fast charger or wireless (due to heat degrading battery health)

I do use fast wired charger if needed during the that but my usual practice is night time wired slower charger.

Well, since sept 11 it has continued to drop. Now it's been at 96% for a week. I don't understand why the "increaseing decrease" is happening. I guess the first 270 cycles are at 100%, but then every 10 circle is another drop in percent. Now at 306 cycles and 96%.

No big crisis, but strange. I guess Apple just want me to buy a new phone after a year;-)

My 15PM dropped about 5% in the first 9 months, and then dropped another 5% in the last 3 months. Not sure why. I charge my phone daily to 100% using wired charger.

My 15PM is at 82% with 260 cycles. So you’re doing well.
That’s abnormal. mine has nearly 350 cycles and the health is at 97%. Is yours constantly under high temperature or wireless charging? Or both?

Mine is always charged wired (on a ’fast’ charger)and set to limit to 80% during weekdays when I’m at office plugged in.
During weekends, when I need the battery life, I release it to 100% (or 95% now since iOS 18)

No, just charged every night to 100% with optimized turned on. Not a gamer or anything
