Hey guys, does anyone here have experience ordering from DV247?

On Wednesday I place an order for several goods at their online store but they didn't ship them on the next day delivery, as specified on their site, instead they sent me a letter for "Security Checks" asking me to confirm my identity. YET, they took fall payment for the products before the security checks. Is this normal those days?

Their idea of security checks were to send a letter to the addressee of the person making the order... does this really work? Cause if it was a fraudulent order, the addressee on the order would also receive the letter, right? So it's not really fool proof, is it?

How does it work?

Digital Village?

I just phone the store near me and get them to ship the item to the shop. Then pick it up from there...

I didn't call them. Didn't they do security checks with you?

Was originally gonna order the goodies from Dolphin Music as I've not had any issues with them in the past but they was missing some products. Digital Village however, had everything I needed in stock minus some unimportant free gift.

Dunno is it good when retailers are checking up on it's customers. Feels like I'm the criminal and they're snooping about for no apparent reason.

Nope. No security check. They didn't even want a deposit or anything to get the items to the shop.
I'll use them again, in the same way.

Now that just alienates me :(

I'm not sure I wanna deal with a company who questions it's customers. Feels kinda odd! :(

Did you ask them why they were doing a security check?

Yep, they said they've been receiving lots of fraudulent orders recently, they also told me "those security checks have been in place for the last two years".."so far, they've proven to be very successful!"

BUT it delays orders for genuine customers, causing them an inconvenience and I hate waiting for things to arrive..

Hmmm, maybe it's because I actually went to them to pay.

At least I know that going to them is the best way to do things. I was going to order a Bass Big Muff Pi via the web next week. I won't bother now...

I'm still searching for Westone ES3X earphones.
Doesn't looks like I can buy them here in the UK.. pity:(
