Some people are very easy to please. FWIW, Nexus 9 got 5 stars, and someone commented:

After reading several other reviews I'm now confused: No mention of soft areas on the back that buckle under pressure. No mention of light bleed at the top of the screen. No mention of the back heating up after extended game or video play. No mention of lags. All these have been common complaints about the Nexus 9. We're you lucky enough to get the only good one in a batch of review samples.
Only one other review mentioned good battery life; most views were that it was poor (and may improve with a software update). Here the opposite is claimed.
Who's right? It's as if totally different tablets were reviewed.

Please stop insinuating Apple did a price drop: they increased the prices over the whole line! The 499 option is a lousy one, way less than former entry model, it is even worse than the 2011 entry model. The real entry model went from 599 to 699.
