Since there is no MMS on the iPhone...can you tell me how to get an image to an email address that is actually the cell number. I sent a number to xxx-xxx-xxxx@vtext.com. The person got the email, but it said on their phone the image was removed. I tried it several times and the phone never got it. Please explain how to get this done.

Well looking at the FAQ for vText it seems like someone on that service can send images to an email address but that its not recommended to send images or video to the vText address:

Can I send pictures/videos to an e-mail address?

Yes. All you have to do is type the email address on the addressing screen of your picture/video messaging phone. Please note that picture/video messages addressed to vtext.com email addresses (e.g., MTN@vtext.com) will display as standard text messages. The 160-character limit will apply and photos, sounds, other graphics or videos will not display. VERIZON WIRELESS DOES NOT RECOMMEND SENDING PICTURE/VIDEO MESSAGES TO VTEXT ADDRESSES.

After reading this I tried to send a picture via email from Entourage to my iPhone. From my work email I used:
<##>@txt.att.net and
<##>@mms.att.net
-- neither of them made it and I haven't seen a failure notice yet.

From my gmail account I sent:
<##>@txt.att.net and the note made it but the picture didn't.
<##>@mms.att.net which didn't show up at all.

Actually, the second try from gmail gave this error:
--
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

<##>@mms.att.net

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 <##@mms.att.net> has restricted MMS e-mail (state 18).

the ## represents my phone number which was removed.

I've always wondered why we don't receive spam via these emails addresses. AT&T must block a lot of stuff..

So how the hell am I to get an image to a VZW phone? I mean seriously!!!

Hopefully have the Verizon user check normal email on their phone? :)

So in order words, I can't. Everyone does not have a email capable device. What a joke...Not sure on Apple or VZWs part.
