I recently received a machine upgrade at work. I've always backed up with Time Machine. I thought my Notes were backed up with TM, but that was not the case (trust me, I've looked high and low, they're not there). I don't think my old machine has been erased yet, so I can still get my Notes off of it. What is the best way to export my Apple Notes to transfer to my new machine knowing that icloud and TM are not options? Both machines are MacBook Pros running on Yosemite. TIA, let me know if you need more info.

Do you have your notes "On my Mac"?
Did you look for Library files?
/Users/<your_user_name>/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes
Here you should find several NotesV6.storedata.xxx files

Yes, like I said, I've looked hi and low they aren't there. I don't even have a container folder under my username. Even with access to hidden folders, it's not there. There is a container folder on a separate user name that IT uses but it's empty.
