As the title says, is it possible to export / copy the events in an iCal calendar to the reminders app?

I'm subscribed to a webcal calendar that gives me on sale dates for football match tickets, but I don't get any alerts for each event and I can't edit them to add one (I assume because it's a remote subscription rather than a calendar I created myself).

I tried exporting the calendar as an .ics file and importing that into reminders, but that doesn't seem to work. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think there's any way to do that now.

You could, however, also subscribe to the calendar in a Gmail account and have it either 1) send you an SMS notification for events, or 2) send you an email notification for events. The email would go the the Gmail address which you could set up to forward to your current email if it's not already Gmail.

Cheers, I'll probably do that. I moved my email over to my iCloud account (which didn't seem such a good idea when I was one of the 1.1% the other day!) but I still have a gmail account as it's my Apple ID.

It's shame it isn't easy to copy events from a calendar to reminders though, I'd prefer to keep everything under on Apple roof :) Being able to right click an event and choose "add to reminders list" would be useful. Maybe I'll suggest a feature to Apple.

I don't think any one service will ever be able to provide everything that I want the way I want it. Google comes close but I have to use Toodledo to get tasks and reminders the way I want them.
