Has anyone had any success in exporting ALL their contacts instead of one by one? I've tried selecting all and exporting but it only exports the first contact EVEN THOUGH the file size is larger than exporting one individual contact

This would be a great way of having a backup without any sync procedures..

You're almost there, I just spent some time figuring this out.

Export all the vCards just like you did to some empty folder or your desktop, it will show up as one larger vcard file as usual. Then go to windows outlook, address book, or whatever mac program you use to manage your contacts and select import contacts.

Choose the vCard format and select that large vcard file. The first contact should pop up, hit ok, then the second one, hit ok, etc. Just keep spamming the ok button until they are all there. Note that some may appear blank or have missing data that you have to correct as you go.

Not sure how it is on a mac, but at least we know they're all packed into that one vcard file... its just a matter of unpacking them :)
