My Exchange email provider eliminated my account (I retired) and I imported my contacts onto my iMac. When I set up an iCloud email account, somehow I deleted my Exchange contacts. However, they remain on my iPhone. When I connected the iPhone to my iMac, I can see the addresses but can find no setting for exporting them to the iMac. Is there a simple "global" for this?
[doublepost=1520984158][/doublepost]I should have mentioned: my iPhone is a 5c and my iMac is 17,1.

Hey Raponda,

This is definitely something that many, many people have struggled with for years. It is way easier to transfer contacts if both accounts were on your mac, where you can just drag and drop one or all of your contacts from one account into the other.

With that being said, there is a way to do this on your phone. There is an app on the App Store called "Contact Mover & Account Sync." I know you said you have a 5c, and this app only has compatibility back to iOS 9, so hopefully you have iOS 9 or 10. I believe it's free for the first 40 contacts, but you can upgrade for unlimited transfers for $2.99 which is still pretty cheap.

Here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/contact-mover-account-sync/id582605968?mt=8

Other than this, and really depending on how many contacts you have, you could always go into each individual contact and select "share" and use iMessage or email to send it to yourself on your mac.

- Good luck

As jmacfor3 says…the best way to do this is via a third-party app.
Thanks, Brian!
