Does anybody here know what this is? Apple listed "Express Cards with power reserve" under the "Cellular and Wireless" parts of the tech specs of both the iPhone Xs and Xr.

It's just a Japanese NFC transit card function. You can still tap in and out even if the phone battery is dead.
